Can anyone tell me why we are not spreading hay over the oil BEFORE it hits shores? It sticks to it and always easy pick up. Of course hay will be sky high in the fall an winter but it will make clean up easy and result in a usable fuel. The tree huggers should be clamoring for it. The proposal has been made to the gubment who just watches it get closer. Hmmm, maybe that IS the plan.

Once the oil is collected what is done with it? Can it still be used for anything? You know the mania for recycling, maybe it will still have some useful purpose.

Kind of curious what the feds are doing. I know that BP is responsible for the clean up but is the regime of "commander zero" doing all that it can to stop the leak, such as putting all available resources into it?
