Can anyone tell me why we are not spreading hay over the oil BEFORE it hits shores? It sticks to it and always easy pick up. Of course hay will be sky high in the fall an winter but it will make clean up easy and result in a usable fuel. The tree huggers should be clamoring for it. The proposal has been made to the gubment who just watches it get closer. Hmmm, maybe that IS the plan.

I saw a video of how well Hay works in collecting the oil, and it looks to be a great strategy. In their not using it, you almost wonder if they WANT this to be worse than it has to be!

Here’s a demonstration:

Isn’t BP in charge of the clean-up not the government, or is that exclusively stopping the leak? It’s kind of an awkward situation with who is responsible for what and they aren’t letting others step in and help, and it doesn’t seem like they are listening to any outside ideas.
