So, if the people rose up against Hitler or Mao or Castro you would kill them all to preserve the status quo?

You would slaughter the American revolutionaries?

Can’t they all just get along?

Bill, if people truly care about their nation and their fellow man, they don’t destroy everything that will be needed when they win the battle.

Taking out government buildings serves no one. Taking out old theaters or other historical facilities, is extremely destructive.

I believe there are better ways to achieve goals, than destroying your own nation because you don’t like a dictator.

Yes, the dictator may need to go. So focus on him and things that make him stronger.

How is taking out historical buildings going to hurt a real dictator?

"Rioters set fires at the stock exchange, electricity headquarters, banks and government offices. Siam Theatre, a much loved city institution, collapsed in flames. Hundreds of people had to be rescued from the burning headquarters of Channel 3 television. The death toll since fresh outbreaks of violence on Thursday now stands at 51."

Does this sound productive to you? IMO, the red shirts just angered most of the populace by these acts.

When you start burning down your own culture you lose the moral high ground. Just like with the IRA, they had a lot of legitimate beefs, but once they started “expressing” those beliefs with car bombs that killed random civilians they became the bad guys. It’s important that good guys act like good guys.
