Unless Katz was bringing up issues irrelevant to stopping the oil spill, it is the Obama administration that is politicizing the rescue efforts, and a manly Republican (like Palin or Bachmann) ought to say so.
Of course, what Katz is saying is true, which is why leftists would rather silence such people than debate them.

Oh, let’s NOT solve the oil spill problem if it’s someone who is non-PC who might help solve it!
Better we swim in oil than have a non-PC scientist on the solution team.
So much for ‘diversity’

One man's opinion on homosexuality is more important than cleaning up the "worse oil spill in the history of history"? I guess we know this administrations priorities.

If it were a communist, it would be “freedom of speech”. Liberals are hypocrites. Too bad many GOPers in Washington don’t have the guts to take them head on when they are in power.

When I have a big problem that I want solved, such as a serious illness or a huge oil spill, I really don’t give a tinker’s damn about what the political beliefs of the person is. I don’t care if they are straight or homosexual, socialist or conservative as long as they can do the job.
But with leftist nutjobs like the ones infesting the White House, politics is EVERYTHING, ability is nothing.

Katz may be just the guy we need to stop the leaks. Obama doesn’t care. Katz insulted his best friends in the whole wide world.

But of course it’s okay to be prejudiced against someone who doesn’t agree with you, if you’re a member of the Left in this nation.
Heaven forbid an issue get a rational airing in public.

I agree if he was bringing up these issues in official oil spill reports, where thy don’t belong, then there’s a problem, and I agree with the decision.
However if he just has these personal views and we on his personal, non-work related, website then no problem. And as usual the libs overstep their boundaries while screaming about freedom of speech (net neutrality) for their views.

“The human body was not designed to share hypodermic needles, it was not designed to be promiscuous, and it was not designed to engage in homosexual acts,” he wrote.”
Those statements have nothing to do with ideology, rather they’re simple facts which can be arrived at by the simplest among us.
This entire administration is nothing more than a bunch of nancy-boys.

So if you're an avowed communist or devoted follower of Mao, you get a cabinet position. If, however, you're politically incorrect on faggotry and multiculturalism, you can't even clean up an oil spill?
