“...Beethovens Ode to Joy, the unofficial EU anthem...”
.
The composer meant it to be his religious expression. The EU likes the tune because it is pleasing to the ear. Beethoven is turning over in his grave.

Incredible. But then, nothing’s really incredible anymore.

**facepalm**
Brussels is capital of the EU and the EU is not part of the “free world” any longer.

The sad part is that Biden could say this anywhere else in the world, from Pyongyang to Harare, with the same obliviousness. But he would never say such a thing about America.

Brussels, Capital of the Free World!: Joe Biden at the European Parliament
Wow sounds pretty overblown (maybe he thought this will earn him some cheap sympathy? Btw. It does not!).
I hate this leader or capitol of the free world crap.
First because why would the FREE world need a leader?
And even if so i´m pretty shure that this “leader” would definitely not found in neither Brussel nor Washington.
So at the end Brussel is Brussel and washington is washington. Same for the presidents. Obama is president of “only” the US, and the EU president is hm how do i say it irrelevant at best ;-) (because there are other people who are really running the EU).

Once again, Old Joe proves it is “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt”.
But then again, who can argue that, today, America is free?
