Presidente Felipe Calderon (translated):
"...As it has been stated by President Obama, this morning we held a broad and fruitful dialogue... We analyzed different proposals and visions on the side of Mexico and the United States to strengthen North America as a region...
We talked about.. solving our differences and trade problems in the fastest possible way. We covered the border topics such as security, migration, and we also examined initiatives to consolidate our cooperation in global scenarios and global interests...
Continues...
I can highlight here that the areas where we agree are broader than our differences. Theres a broad convergence of interest. And this is not only given to the fact that we share common goals, but there is a will in both of us to turn the fact of being neighbors into a partnership that will act as a leveler for shared development...
Fortunately, the serious economic global crisis is giving up. --not sure what he means-- This opens up a window of opportunity for Canada, the United States and Mexico to re-position Mexico and North America as a vigorous region...
In reference to the migratory issue..., I... look for a comprehensive solution that will be respectful of the rights of the individual and will be adjusting itself in a realistic way to the needs of both our economies...
In Mexico, we are and will continue being respectful of the internal policies of the United States...But we will retain our firm rejection to criminalize migration so that people that work and provide things to this nation will be treated as criminals. ...we oppose firmly S.B. 1070 Arizona law given in fair principles that are partial and discriminatory..."

Calderon knows a weak fool when he sees one.
Yeah, unfortunately every dictator and his brother are the dominants and our president is the submissive one and the one left holding his ankles.
ROTLOL.
Could drugs be their common bond?
In more ways than one, I’m afraid.
I just want to know who exactly has been holding a gun to the heads of every US president since Eisenhower?
Not one has stood their ground against the Mexican invasion of our country, and most have done nothing but kiss the rings of one Mexican president after another, while allowing our southern border to remain wide open.
Just once, I’d like to see a US president stand up and boldly say that America’s southern border is closed to illegal immigration, and that the federal gov’t will prosecute every illegal alien to the fullest extent of the law.
I’ve had it with this treason, and I think most Americans have had enough, too.
Sickos aren’t they?
I love the way the Mexican President says it’s the AZ law. I believe it’s the US law. Their word games are unbelievable lies.
I am sure their interests are not our own.
So did Bush....
We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture. Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende. For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America. Our future cannot be separated from the future of Latin America. As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico. George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000. |
