KALAMAZOO — The White House appears to be laying the groundwork for President Barack Obama to shake the hand of each senior at Kalamazoo Central High School’s commencement ceremony next month.
Seniors are being asked to provide their birthdates, Social Security numbers and citizen status to the Secret Service so background checks could be performed. Such a check is required for anyone who gets within an arm’s length of the president, students were told at their senior breakfast Friday.

When there’s about 10% of the student body present, and their parents are nowhere to be seen, Obama can get SEIU to fill the seats.

I’m all about keeping the POTUS safe however this is overkill.
Thoroughly physically screen the students like any other POTUS event and be done with it.
It’s not like they are going to be asked to hold the nuclear football during the commencement speech.
Yankee White clearance is not required for this event.

They'll be there. Kazoo is a pretty liberal town and Central is now "majority minority" as it's termed. Back in my day it was about 30% minority. Things have changed since the 1970's. Many people have moved outside the school district or send their youngsters to other school districts or private schools rather than have them attend Kazoo schools. I wish this egomaniac would leave my alma mater alone.
