If we were any more united the border would cease to exist, Felipe.
...which appears to be the long-term plan.
I doubt that Obama wants to do anything that might cut off his drug supply.
There was an excellent article in the WSJ this morning about the drug violence in Mexico and why it has suddenly become a life-and-death struggle for Mexico.
“I say to you and to the Mexican people: Let us stand together,” Obama said in a South Lawn ceremony heralding the start of Calderon’s state visit.
Too bad he can’t say that to the American people!
Has Calderón read the Arizona law?
Long term goal? The term is much shorter than you think. Such bold statement of solidarity is a clear and unambiguous: we have enemy of the state occupying the White House. The gloves are off.
Calderon took on the law directly again Wednesday, saying it opened up the Mexican people to discrimination.
This is what bothers me. If these people want to be 'Mexican people' Mr. Calderon, then they should STAY IN MEXICO! If they want to be AMERICANS, and are prepared to OBEY THE LAW like previous generations of immigrants, then I'll welcome them with open arms.
More hot air .....
TRANSLATION: Mexico wants to keep sending it’s thugs, criminals and drug dealers to the US and Hussein wants to create 40 million new welfare recipients and democrat voters. It’s a match made in HEAVEN!!!
Interesting words; he has yet to make that same offer to the American people.
