Though he withheld comment on whether he will ultimately support her Supreme Court nomination, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham gave Elena Kagan generally positive reviews following their meeting today.
"I think she's done a pretty good job" in her current position as U.S. solicitor general, Graham told reporters. He specifically cited her work on issues pertaining to the laws of war -- a topic he described as "something that's near and dear to my heart."
"For the most part, I think she's taken pretty well-reasoned positions about legal rights of detainees," he said. But he quickly added, "I really don't know how I'm going to view her until we have the hearings."

I think Flimsy is pandering to the nuke industry in his state, which will make a pretty penny on cap & tax. SC is one of the states most reliant on nukes for energy.

It must be eating McCain up alive that he can’t find a cluster of cameras and pontificate about how well qualified Kagan is and how a president deserves his choice of judges.
The voters of South Carolina can. But unfortunately, as SC does not have a recall law, we've got to wait until 2014 to toss Lovely Lindsey in the dumpster.
At that time he'll pull a McLame and run to the right and remind everyone what a great conservative he's been. But we're gathering/saving evidence to the contrary. He'll have nowhere to hide come 2014.
