Nobody would reasonably think that of that as a joke.

BBC WM website describes Kelly as having “a unique brand of humour”.
Yes. Very unique. Unequivocally unique. Uniquely unique. But not funny.

Just take the guy off the air and be done with it.
That’s so far over the line he shouldn’t be allowed to remain on the air.
I’m so damned tired of people thinking they can do absolutely anything without ramification.

I know its popular elsewhere in the world, but I just can not fathom any sensible democratically-minded public accepting a state-run media like the BBC.
Of course, we have NBC, NY Times, etc... but at least there is the hope they will go bankrupt some day.

She and I are the same age.
No one should make premature announcements of the death of anyone so young as the Queen and I. :)

Interesting from Wiki. Does Canada or Australia even acknowledge her?
Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is the queen regnant of 16 independent sovereign states known as the Commonwealth realms, listed here in order of length of possession by the Crown: the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Barbados, the Bahamas, Grenada, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belize, Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Kitts and Nevis. She holds each crown separately and equally in a shared monarchy, as well as acting as Head of the Commonwealth, and Supreme Governor of the Church of England. As a constitutional monarch, she is politically neutral and by convention her role is largely ceremonial.
