Washington, DC--Concealed handgun permit holders have killed at least nine law enforcement officers in addition to 152 private citizens (including 15 shooters who killed themselves after an attack) since May 2007 according to the latest update of Concealed Carry Killers, a Violence Policy Center (VPC) on-line resource that tallies news reports of such killings. The web site, located at http://www.vpc.org/ccwkillers.htm, is updated monthly to include new fatal shootings since May 2007 by concealed handgun permit holders and any changes in the legal status of permit holders facing criminal charges. (Any concealed handgun permit holders who are eventually acquitted of their alleged crimes are not included in the tallies maintained on the site although the facts surrounding the shooting are detailed.)
The VPC web site categorizes the 95 incidents, which occurred in 25 states, and offers detailed descriptions of each incident (some incidents may fit into multiple categories). Of these incidents, 15 were murder-suicides involving firearms and 15 were mass shootings (three or more victims) that claimed as many as 11 lives at a time. Law enforcement officers were killed in Alabama, Florida (two incidents), Idaho, Ohio, and Pennsylvania (two incidents). All of the law enforcement killings were committed with guns.

I bet these assclowns are including people killed while committing crimes.
Concealed Handgun Permit Holder: Vincent Williams
PENDING
Date: February 21, 2010
People Killed: 1
Circumstances: On February 21, 2010, 30-year-old Lashawn Davis was allegedly shot and killed by Vincent Williams, 31, outside an E-Z Mart convenience store in Jefferson County. Several witnesses told police that the two men had shot one another. According to a police report, Davis was found lumped in the drivers seat of a 1999 gold Mercury Grand Marquis with his feet hanging out of the car and his body facing south. A .45 handgun was found nearby. Police found Williams on the south side of the store, bleeding, with a 9mm handgun nearby. Both men were transported to a local hospital where Davis was pronounced dead and Williams was taken into surgery. Williams reportedly told police that Davis had tried to steal his car. Williams had a concealed handgun permit.
One doesn't need to read very far to start seeing the bias and ridiculousness.
How many slippery bathtubs have caused deaths? Ban bathtubs!
Justified!
“presence of a handgun escalates an argument to a homicide”
Bull$#@%
What percentage of the total number of concealed carry holders is this?
What percentage of the total number of gun crimes does this represent?
How many of the incidents occurred while the person was carrying, as opposed to while the person was at home?
So many questions, so little knee-jerk emotion....
Far more. But of course, the VPC is, as usual (and like all leftists) lying by telling only part of the truth.
Between 16000 and 18000 are killed each year in the USA. Most gang and crime related.
Not known how many are illegal aliens who commit murder ...
I wonder why that stat isn’t as important if not more so. Since we can prevent illegal alien shootings, by closing the border, which will help reduce the number a lot, why not do that.
What percentage of total CC licensees do these numbers constitute? A very small number, no doubt, just like the statistically insignificant percentage of non-felon (i.e. illegal) gun owners who use guns in the commission of crimes.
The converse statistics never brought forward by these anti-gun groups are the deterence statisics that show that regions with CC laws in effect have far less gun crime and violent crime.
Concealed Handgun Permit Holder: Randy Reddick Jr. PENDING
Date: February 27, 2010
People Killed: 1
Circumstances: On February 27, 2010, a 10-year-old boy unintentionally shot and killed his older brother, Randy Reddick III, age 11, with his fathers 40-caliber Glock pistol. The boys father, Randy Reddick Jr., had forgotten to take his handgun out of the unlocked console of his Dodge pickup truck parked at the familys Deerfield Beach residence when he asked the boys to retrieve his hat and coat from the vehicles front seat. A neighbor, Spencer Waymen, who was helping unload a moving van across the street, witnessed the shooting. Said Waymen, Before I could get out of the U-Haul, the gun went off. As he approached the scene, he saw the older boy lying on the ground in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound to the right side of his face. His younger brother jumped out of the truck yelling, It went off by itself! I killed my brother! According to news reports, the boys sister and father raced out of their apartment and became hysterical. Randy Reddick Jr., 31, had a valid concealed handgun permit.
I'm sure the 10 year old boy wasn't a CCW holder. Now they are counting accidents as murders by CCW holders?
Oops, I meant i.e. “not illegal”.
People Without Concealed Carry Permits Have Killed at Least 65% of Police Officers Since May 2007
Concealed Handgun Permit Holder: Narcisse Nas Antoine PENDING
Date: June 1, 2009
People Killed: 1
Circumstances: On June 1, 2009, Narcisse Nas Antoine allegedly shot and killed Brandon Thomas and wounded Jeffrey Thompson after an incident outside the Mystique Lounge in West Palm Beach. Antoine had a concealed handgun permit. According to his lawyer, Antoine was threatened by the two men and acted in self defense. Antoine was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Another self-defense counting the aggressor as "murdered." This document, if it wasn't so serious, would be laughable.
exactly
As we all have seen; the victims are all upstanding citizens and good boys(5’ long rap sheets).
Charlotte has more killings in 6 months than is shown in this dumb report stat.
I despise the left.
One other thought. We see more murders than these in a typical liberal produced Hollywood action movie.
Justified ... my favorite new show!
