Mom harbors wanted murdered, cops try to arrest said murderer, mom fights with cops, little girl gets shot, and the comments section seems to think it was the po-po's fault.

So the cops arrested the murderer of the 17 y/o in the same house. The 7 y/o innocent was killed due to her mother harboring a fugitive murderer AND interfering with police. Mom should be indicted for murder of her little dauther. I’m serious.

I wasn’t aware that this had been pulled yesterday. Hopefully people got it out of their system and it’ll stay clean/civil this time.

I’ll be the first person to second guess and call out ugly police activity, but in this case it seems the parties responsible for the little girl’s death are the fleeing fugitive and those who chose to harbor him.

It's time to start exposing the fact that the underbelly of black citizenship in this country is devoted to crime and criminals and defending both.

House is a duplex - it isn’t clear which unit the fugitive was occupying. Family is saying the police had the wrong address.
You can bet there is going to be a lot of wrangling on this in the coming days - it’s best to hold judgment.
Personally, I’d charge a guy barging into my living room at me and my kids.

Those poor law enforcement officers. Imagine the mental toll it takes when your job is looking for murderers. Prayers to them.

Absolutely. Might well happen too. Also get the guy they were searching for for felony murder in addition to the original murder.
To: Dayman
just to be clear, they had a warrant, and in fact found the suspect in the residence...
why flashbang and breech when they either knew there was a child present, or if not knowing, why not a lil intel on the building ???
I'll await more info, but it looks like everybody is responsible for the girl being shot by a cops gun 'going off'...

Terrible story. Terrible for the child, the non-criminal family of the child, and for the officers involved. It was an accidental shooting ... but I imagine it weighs heavily on the officer.
The only individuals I don’t feel sorry for are the mother (who was harboring a murderer and thus invited a police siege during which her child was accidentally shot), and the murderer himself (who was stupid enough to risk the life of a child for his own protection).

The reports this morning said it was the wrong address - duple. Don’t know. Anyway, I can’t defend killing a 7 year old.
To: Dayman
It saddens me to read about this young girl, but the only blame belongs to the family for harboring the young “Prince of the Streets”.
If I am correct Detroit is ranked in the top two or three in this country for murder. I sure can't blame the police for being antsy when executing a warrant. That said, any accidental shooting by the police scares the billy-be-damn out of me. I am not blaming the officer, but I do think sometimes that those semi autos now carried contain too many rounds and the trigger pull is too light. I could be wrong, but................

I’d figure she’s over it. I only hope the officer can get past it.
