Sorry but I can’t cut her any slack there. She has been a political wife long enough to know better. She takes a political point completely opposite her husband’s in this politically charged time. Either that or her husband approved of the message. You tell me!
It is deliberate and designed to hurt.
Wasn’t it one GWB who rarely defended HIMSELF?
Wasn’t it Rush and other media hosts who looked the other way when GWB strayed?
It was not we constitutionalists who brought this about, but the GWB people themselves!
GWB was a major disappointment except for his two court appointments, where he did better than Reagan and GHWB.
We should all boycott any Bush books.
I'll just bet that you're gonna hear from a Clinton again, and don't be surprised if you hear from a Kennedy again.
We should have examined the record of Prescott Bush, and there would have been no more Bushes from the start. A candidate for the Senate in 1970 warned about GHWB being not a constitutionalist.
Well and not raising taxes ala Reagan and not signing an amnesty bill ala Reagan and not cutting and running in the middle east ala Reagan. Were you alive under Reagan and old enough to follow politics under Reagan or are you just comparing GW Bush to the myth of Reagan?
Yes she is my enemy. Remember, you are with us or against us.
Well, we now see what side she choose and it ain't us.
She belongs to the United Methodist Church.
It’s not a disappointment per se, but reality we all should have seen before our eyes. The Bushes are fakers. Maybe Marvin should have been the one in office, quien sabe?
Remember, it was Richard Gephardt in 2004 who first called GWB “a miserable failure.” Now he should be the expert on such claims.
You do realize that this is a CONSERVATIVE site, don’t you?
Rudy is NOT and never will be a CONSERVATIVE.
So how many quisings do you routinely defend?
You’re right, the press lefties do it for 0bama of course. But 0bama himself goes on the attack with his smears & mocking & retaliatory lies in nearly every speech he makes.... I’ve heard him, whenever I can stomach listening to him for a few minutes. In fact, the leftwing press uses the 0bama WH talking points almost verbatim. GW Bush never stood up for himself or called out the lies & smears against him. It’s kind of hard to defend him when he never did it himself.
I guess the “thousand points of lights” is a good thing, meaning encouraging volunteerism. However, Michael Stanley Dukakis said in the 1988 debate that he didn’t understand what it entails. All in all, it’s probably just another failure.
Post of the year!
I you are telling me Reagan was overrated, I wholeheartedly agree!
I have to give a little credit to Karl (The magnificent B@stard) Rove here. "
I often wondered at the time exactly who was responsible for that endless stream of idiotic decisions in the second term (and still don't know.)
You KNOW it’s over for the United States when the apple pie moms like Laura Bush and Palin turn feminist man-haters.
Next to Obama, George Bush was George Washington. I think you’re being a bit harsh, considering the Dems controlled Congress since 2006.
I would not say over rated as much as mythologized. It is the rare president that will do exactly what you would do one each and every issue.
Some people like to pretend that Reagan was perfect. I find that many such people were the ones who could not take the heat to defend G.W. Bush. The left will always let you get away with building up some past GOP president in return for them getting to tear down a current GOP president. So duing the G.W. Bush years, the myth of Reagan grew, while the left torn down Bush with little opposition from the GOP chattering class.
