“Then again, maybe they’re not really all that different from him.”

I think you hit the nail on the head. Bush 41 and 43 are globalists. So is Clinton. They are exactly alike. They are traitors.

You can not uphold the Constitution, which these people swore to do, while working actively to subjugate America to a world body.

Intellect personified by oneself, to teach others, is the HEIGHT of SELF-IMPORTANCE. Simply put: "He who knows does not speak. He who speaks does not know" - Lao Tzu

By the way, the above is just pure unadulterated poppycock. I get the point of Lao Tzu's quote, and it works for certain contexts. However, intellect, speech (verbal, written, and signing forms), and knowledge sharing teaching) are all hallmarks of what it means to be human.

I think she provides insight into how the Bush family thinks and indeed folks and the media pay attention to first ladies.

and I think her social liberalness influenced her husband and I always suspected that even though I did think she was well mannered

I guess the real question is whether Chris Wallace purposely mis-phrased the question to get the answer he expected or if it is the obvious mis-representation of those giving an analysis of the answer that we should be questioning.

I believe that means that although YOU may have the knowledge to see what is going on, it’s not something that can be put into words because that kind of knowledge cannot be conveyed with words.

Ridiculous. That's what I mean when I say grow up. Laura Bush never ran for public office. She didn't deceive anyone. She supported her husband, as would any loving family member no matter what their personal opinions might be. It's called unconditional love. I would hope the people nearest and dearest to you give you the same kind of love even when they happen to disagree with your choices in life.

Kaslin, I'm with Miss Marple.

Though I wasn't as close to Bahbah as she was, and others were, I loved her dearly, and this is not the time to fight with the people who would ridicule her for her respect for President Bush AND Laura.

The sweetest, finest people on this forum are part of the "sanity you graciously provide."

I'm going to take my own advice here (I usually have trouble).........

Ignore these BDS'ers. They're not worth the emotional energy.

We need to mourn the loss of our friend, and leave these pathetic people to marinate in their own hatred.

God BLESS you for what you do for this forum. You are much appreciated by everyone who counts.

And pray for Laura Bush that she would grow in faith and understanding. She is a wonderful woman.

Maybe. But if Lao Tzu really thought that was truth, he would not have written anything, since writing is the same as speaking.

It’s just one of those sayings that really doesn’t make sense.

If someone has a deep understanding of whatever truth is in question, he will be able to express it. One way or another.

Another saying I prefer is “A fool may be thought wise as long as he remains silent, but once he opens his mouth, all doubt is put to rest”.

Or words to that effect!

;-)

Let’s see....

Laura supports gay marriage, abortion and Kagan. What a gal!

In other words...she is a liberal...big time.

Yes, Kaslin please stop talking about Republicans and conservatives. Do not....I repeat.....do not talk about Bush or even Sarah Palin.

I know this sounds harsh but when FR zots a long time poster such as SoCalPol for trying to defend against, not political discourse, but ugly bashing, then I fear FR has turned to the dark side. JMO

Ahem ... I've been married to several women - all at different times of course.

And I would never have expected them to join me in a lie, or hold back their honest feelings. But then I never sat out to deceive the public either.

So what you are saying, " Now that GWB is out of office, it's okay to reveal her inner - gay marriage - supporting - bull dykes/incompetent commies - for high office - & positions - and abortion is okay too."

And as the book is not being given away, she will profit from her deception. Ya ya, she'll give the profits to some charity,, ya sure

I suspect the DUmp will enjoy our internal distress here ... oh well fair is fair, God know they've given us a few laughs

Huh?

Some things are NOT learned by people telling you. It is the type of knowledge that one acquires in an entirely different way. It's knowledge that has nothing to do with the spoken word.

Did you want me to discuss "silent knowledge"?

"Life is a Twinky"... that will be $35 dollars please!

GIVING US OBAMA?

2000 - I worked on voter fraud effort in NYC for GWB.

2004 - I traveled to Jaxonville FL for a week to do voter fraud and canvassing for the GOP.

2008 - I traveled to Pittsburgh to work for McCain Palin on GOTV and voter fraud monitoring.

What have you done?

No amount of ‘good’ that FL Bush did erases the evil in her heart and if she is pro abortion and depraved behavior, that is evil in the highest degree; perhaps it is hard for you to understand that.

Reagan was the most pro-life President we had by the way. President Bush was a good man but he dropped the ball in his 2nd term. Why? Who did he lay his head next to each night? Do you honestly believe she didn’t insert her thoughts in his policy making.

I just despise phoniness and feel completely deceived because whether elected or not, she was a role model. Why subject the nation to her ‘opinions’ now?

I agree with your statement. Laura Bush served her time as First Lady with dignity and did not interject her opinions or become an activist a la Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama.
