First of all, she’s just following what was the old rule - broken by Clinton and Carter of course — that ex-presidents do not criticize subsequent presidents.

Second of all, what else is she going to say? “I’m disappointed that Obama didn’t nominate a male socialist instaed of a female socialist?” She knows what the political stance of any Obama nominee will be — Her statements simply indicate that she thinks its good for women to be in all parts of our political/civic life.
