First of all, she’s just following what was the old rule - broken by Clinton and Carter of course — that ex-presidents do not criticize subsequent presidents.

Second of all, what else is she going to say? “I’m disappointed that Obama didn’t nominate a male socialist instaed of a female socialist?” She knows what the political stance of any Obama nominee will be — Her statements simply indicate that she thinks its good for women to be in all parts of our political/civic life. So do I. Big whoop.

You’ve got to be kidding. Are you not familiar with this nominee’s politics?? Mrs. Bush said “I think it’s GREAT!”

If she's not actually "excited" about the nomination, she could simply keep her mouth shut.

The thing is, she actually IS excited about the nominee, because Laura - like Kagan - is pro-choice and pro-homo agenda.

I am amazed at the vitriole at Laura on these threads.

These posts look no different than those on the Leftie -Lib websites. And why is this necessary?
where were all these ‘brilliant” analysts 8 years ago?

Its a lot of cheap shots.
