Let's avoid all the mealy-mouthed euphemisms: In the now-infamous New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr.'s Justice Department stands accused of being dishonest, racist, political hacks. The department's responses to those charges have been so weak that they may as well have pleaded nolo contendere. A hearing today by the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights provides the department one more chance to adequately explain itself. Right now, no adequate explanation seems to exist.
It was one year ago tomorrow that department officials overrode the advice of career attorneys, and of the department's own appellate division, by dropping three of four charges in the Black Panther case and seeking an extremely limited injunction in the fourth. The case involved voluminous testimony that two Black Panthers - dressed in paramilitary garb while one brandished a nightstick - stood within arm's length of a Philadelphia polling place while repeatedly using racial epithets and threats.
..Finally, Mr. Katsas said decisions by the department to reverse legal positions and drop such prosecutions are "extremely rare - and for good reason: They inevitably undermine [the department's] credibility with the courts, and they inevitably raise suspicion that [the department's] litigating position may be influenced by political considerations."
.. Mr. Coates suggested the agenda is "to enforce the provisions of the Voting Rights. Act only for the protection of certain racial or ethnic minorities" and "to turn a blind eye whenever incidents arise that indicate that minority persons have acted improperly in voting matters."
In short, white voters have no civil rights.

Hey, where are you Jimmah? You don’t have much to say these days! You seem to be just fine with this administration and their God-fearing upright ways! Too bad GWB isn’t around anymore for you to rail on, you self-important hypocrite!
I swear this country is heading for a race war.
Everything is ok; the black supremacists are friends of Barking Obama.
0bama & his ilk are fomenting just that.
Look at all the policies that he’s enacted, every payout has been “targeted”, and everyone knows it, ratcheting up the tension.
I talked to a guy the other day trying to get the “mortgage adjustment” from his lender. He met the right number criteria, but I guess he didn’t meet the right skintone criteria. He was told by his PMI company that Wells Fargo “has had a high rate of denial for your demographic group”.
In other words, if you’re white, tough luck, you’re gonna lose your house, and hopefully we’ll just give it to a minority.
This administration uses Race and calling opposition a racist as a political weapon. They are trying to create and perpetuate a problem that is not there. Seems Obama and Holder both have victim, racism issues.
Conspiracy?.... you betcha..
I sometimes wonder if the lefties and the Stormfront types are working together, and the war will be against normal people.
--Neither Mr. Coates nor his former colleagues who brought the case can tell their stories in public because the Justice Department, in violation of federal law, ordered them not to comply with the subpoenas of the Civil Rights Commission.
-- This comes after the department falsely claimed that none of its political appointees had a role in the decision to drop the case, and then spent a full year stonewalling information requests from the commission, Congress and the press.
Yep, the testimony Perez gave this morning to the Civil Rights Commission was a total whitewash. Holder and Perez muzzled the career attorneys in the DOJ so they couldn’t bring forth the true facts.
We’re getting closer and closer, under this admin,
to the type of government and society that was the
backdrop of a book that the admins won’t allow to be
mentioned on FR.
The (black) mayor of Philly defended the Panthers on the TV news the same day it happened, saying that it was America and they (the Panthers) could “stand wherever they wanted”
Same here. I am giving up on being tolerant.
