When it comes to business climate, California ranks last among the states according to the latest attack on the rules and red tape despised by the respondents to a survey by CEO Magazine.

While I find it hard to disagree with your "medicine"...
I sure would appreciate a heads up!!!

Texas is a dump?? Really? Compared to California?
“
I happen to be a flyover-country guy who somehow got a technical job
at UCLA during 1995-2005.
When Dubya was running against Gore, The Los Angeles Times ran front
page articles with one recurring theme:
Texas is the an-s of Planet Earth and it’s all the fault of George W. Bush.
When Enron rolled California, despite the inconvenience, I smiled to
myself and said for the smug b@$tards at the LA Times and those that continually
vote for Waxman, Feinstein, Boxer and other Democratic-Socialists in CA...
“Pride goeth before a fall”.
California is a beautiful place, but it’s committing suicide.
And with Obama in charge, the rest of the USA is following ever
close behind.
The only flaw with Lex Luthor’s plan is that it didn’t sink enough of CA into the ocean.
“
Texify California?
“
Trouble is Texans ain’t gonna’ move to California.
And too many Californians move to places like Oregon, Colorado
and dear G-d, even Texas.
And like the “Massholes” that leave Massachussetts for places like
Vermont and New Hampshire to escape high taxes and crime...they almost
invariably crap up the places they move to.
I hardly think that even Chavez could endure craziness of Kalifornia!!
In the 1820s my family began buying and moving hides from the Vallejo, Castro and other ranches in California to the emerging industries in New England. Now, I have left California, never to return to live. I believe the immigrants from the East Coast have done more than the illegals to ruin the state.
The Davis Mountains in Texas may not be the Sierra Nevadas, but they sure smell nice to me.
I thought we were promised California would fall into the ocean by now?
A drop dead gorgeous area with a great climate. And nobody knew about it...until you opened your mouth ;>)
If the states ever secede from the Federal govt (as is their right) then I'll be going to one of the new free states, I imagine Texas will be the first one to secede. They have a few years experience at being their own country.
LA looks like a DUMP to me!
They have more per capita morons an un-American anti-Americans that probably any other state.
Texas is as close to what America has been in the past 230 years or so. Say what you will about Texicans, but they're patriotic.
Hmmmm....high cost of doing business, high taxes, insane and useless green laws, gangs running almost unchecked, spoiled entitlement employees, very high cost of living, laws restrictive to business in California compared to a good business climate and a large percentage of hard-working, patriotic workers in Texas....hmmm, which to choose, which to choose...
Chavez had plans to take over California, but the people there are far too Leftist for him to govern!
;-)
¡Doh!

Haven’t ever been there, but have family friends that moved to Alpine.
They love it.
Let’s not forget the California-Florida mutual disgust.
State government is simply in denial. It was insolvent back when they were issuing IOUs.
Really the only difference between California and the federal government is the federal government can print money legally.
Reality will have its way as it always eventually does.
Hang on for the ride...
Shhhhhh! Don’t let the cat out of the bag! Your post may have to be deleted for the sake of the area!
My great-grandfather, when a young twentyish man, got a job shooting buffalo for George Armstrong Custer. These white "scouts" (the Crow and Shoshoni scouts did the real "scout" work) kept the regiment in fresh meat, and they were dismissed overnight the night before Little Big Horn. My great-grandfather said they were told to take off by "an Italian officer", and sure enough, one of Custer's officers had an Italian name. They took the hint and survived.
One of my great-grandfather's companions (there is a group portrait of them somewhere in the family's possession) was a young guy, a Mexican californio. I don't have his full name, but my GGF called him "Kid Vallejo". The portrait was taken about 1875, and he will have been about 22 or so at that time, by the photo evidence, or a little younger as I recall.
