Texas is a dump?? Really? Compared to California?

I happen to be a flyover-country guy who somehow got a technical job
at UCLA during 1995-2005.

When Dubya was running against Gore, The Los Angeles Times ran front
page articles with one recurring theme:
Texas is the an-s of Planet Earth and it’s all the fault of George W. Bush.

When Enron rolled California, despite the inconvenience, I smiled to
myself and said for the smug b@$tards at the LA Times and those that continually
vote for Waxman, Feinstein, Boxer and other Democratic-Socialists in CA...
“Pride goeth before a fall”.

California is a beautiful place, but it’s committing suicide.
And with Obama in charge, the rest of the USA is following ever
close behind.

In the 1820s my family began buying and moving hides from the Vallejo, Castro and other ranches in California to the emerging industries in New England. Now, I have left California, never to return to live. I believe the immigrants from the East Coast have done more than the illegals to ruin the state.

The Davis Mountains in Texas may not be the Sierra Nevadas, but they sure smell nice to me.

California (I live there) has already committed suicide.

State government is simply in denial. It was insolvent back when they were issuing IOUs.

Really the only difference between California and the federal government is the federal government can print money legally.

Reality will have its way as it always eventually does.

Hang on for the ride...
