With all of the news about boycotts of Arizona it occurs to me that the ones boycotting are chiefly in the entertainment business. Baseball, Basketball, the Hollywood crowd, etc. etc. Maybe if in May, June and July we didn't go to any movies or any professional athletic events they would get the picture. Unemployment is still at 10% and the cost of illegals is constantly being paid for by the middle class. The cost of education, health care and police protection all rise and are all supported by us, the "little people". But we the masses also support the movie and sports industry. It's time for those folks to get on board and help us out for once, instead of calling us racists and bigots. Maybe if they understand it is our money that supports all of this they'll finally get the message.
I’ve boycotted Hollywood for years.
Good idea, but I have been doing that for years, boycotting Hollywood.
I boycott LA, and I live in the county.
I did notice that the local LA tv web site ran a poll and so far 91 % don’t support the boycott
Notice how the weirdos were all a-dither about saving the Hollywood sign.
Would they be so worried about saving the cross in the Mohave.
Frankly, I won’t be buying, renting or going to any movies for the foreseeable future.
We can boycott them.
Me too. Titanic was the last movie I paid to see!!
Let ‘em boycott Az water and electricity till the elections!
Now since I’ve seen Iron Man 2, I don’t need them.
What other movie has a line like Tony Stark turning to Pepper Potts and saying, “I’m tired of the liberal agenda.”?
So have I!
This will never work. Want people to boycott Hollyweird? It’s like asking everyone to give up their cell phone.
I have boycotted Hollywood since they went liberal and trashy many years ago. If I told what movie I last saw, you would really call me old. Same for the music industry.
One thing about boycotts -
if they don’t have much effect,
you’ve shot your wad.
You have no further leverage.
Yep, already boycotting hollywood....but we can encourage others to join us and thereby expand the effect!!!
Individuals boycotting anything in an unorganized fashion serves no purpose other than self satisfaction. To be effective, a boycott must be large groups, publicized, and get lots of press. As well as to have impact great enough to hit the pursestrings.
Movie companies had a great year last year compared to the rest of the economy, and are expected to do better this year. So if there's to be an effective boycott, it must be organized.
If California wants to screw Arizona financially, they can always send our legislature over there to run it.
There you go with your logic! People here call for boycotts of Hollywood if someone sneezes wrong.
I rent from the local “mom & pop” video store, if at all.
