LONDON: French First Lady Carla Bruni reportedly kept the British Queen waiting, during an official trip to the UK shortly after her marriage two years ago, while she had sex with hubby President Nicolas Sarkozy.
According to a new book, titled 'The Promise', 42-year-old Bruni told US First Lady Michelle Obama that she was making love with her husband while a "senior Head of State" cooled her heels, the Sun reported.
Although the former Italian supermodel didn't identify the "senior Head of State", speculation has mounted in France that it was the 84-year-old English monarch, the British tabloid said on Monday.
The Sarkozys spent a night at Windsor Castle during an official trip shortly after their marriage two years ago. In fact, Bruni, whose past lovers include Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton, shared her sexlife secrets with the US President Barack Obama's wife at a meeting in America, the book says.
But it was only Bruni who admitted that her love life with 55-year-old President Sarkozy had held up their official programme.

I remember when politicians, heads of state and their families exercised a little decorum and didn't air these tawdry pieces of personal information. I don't need to know this and neither does the rest of the world.

Agreed, it's a sad thing when there's little to differentiate the spouse of a head of state from say, Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleise. Perhaps the number of memoirs they sell?
