Nor is it the latest diet gimmick. Courageous Restraint is the next natural step in the plot to emasculate our military. The objective is to bestow accolades on troops in Afghanistan who avoid deadly force at risk to themselves.
Professor Jeffrey F. Addicott, a former senior legal adviser to the Green Berets and director of the Center for Terrorism Law at St. Marys University School of Law in San Antonio, speaks for all rational human beings:
The implication of this award is that we do not engage in war fighting that is appropriate, Theyre sending a chilling message to our troops that we are not complying with the law of armed conflict. Its a propaganda victory for our enemies.
In a war now being run by liberals, the ideal would be that no soldier would want to imperil his shot at earning one of those prestigious Courageous Restraint medals by shooting at the enemy. No estimates yet as to how many Courageous Restraint medals will be awarded posthumously.
Such malignant meddling is entirely consistent with Obamas plans to turn the most powerful military force on earth into a law enforcement agency.
Unfortunately, we are being reduced to a police force, said another U.S. soldier. There are troops that never leave Bagram or Kandahar airfield.
Maybe if they left us all on base and never sent us out to confront the enemy, we could all be honored [for] valor.

Can you believe it? A medal given out for not pulling the trigger.
This, and the new rules of engagement, equal an army that is not allowed to shoot. In fact ask any soldier you can find it is coming back from Afghanistan. I’ll bet they give you an earful.
Face it everyone, the guy’s a Marxist, and a Muslim.
There is still only ONE catholic birth control pill and it is 100% effective:
St’ Joseph’s aspirin clasped firmly between the knees.
Brave Sir Robin ran away
Bravely, ran away...away...
When danger reared its ugly head
He bravely turned his tail and fled
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
And gallantly he chickened out
Bravely talking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat
Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin
(of couse, for this we’d have to add a verse on how he bravely stood his ground and took eight hundred rounds and an IED blast)
