Obama hugs Crist tighter, may abandon Kendrick Meek

A group of Florida Democrats have been urging the White House to abandon their own Senate candidate, Rep. Kendrick Meek, in all but name. And they appear to have succeeded.

The Wall Street Journal reports that President Obama is seriously considering offering only half-hearted support to his party’s nominee, the only serious black candidate for Senate in the United States this year, so as to help Republican-turned-Independent candidate Gov. Charlie Crist win the seat.

Go for it, Obama!

Abandon your own Democratic candidate, see how good that makes you look.

If the rumors are true, then Charlie might actually like that.

Rush will have to once again raise money for a black Democrat. Like he did for that nice guy in NY who the Dems abandoned a few years back. Think his name was Carl McCall.

If there is any truth to this article, it’s Rubio’s race to lose.

Crist is a democrat, probably always has been. Crist is a lot brighter than Meeks, that makes him more dangerous.

This is another consequence of the "big tent" BS! Crist has been able to rip off a lot of conservative money while working against us.

The democrats won't tolerate this treachery in their machine, when is the stupid GOP going to wake up?

It will please the Democrats more. They really don’t want Black candidates if they can get a White one.

Well, he did have his fan club on this forum when he was in the primary against Gallagher. They and he won.

Where in the hell are they now? They should be cheering their man on.

Crist was another case of "lesser evil". I've been leery of him since first sight.

I'll admit to being suspicious of any candidate from any large urban area, they often exist in an alternate reality.

This end justifies the means philosophy is killing the nation, they call it pragmatism, that ain't what I call it though!

If the rumors are true, Obama will like it just as much.

The Wall Street Journal reports that President Obama is seriously considering offering only half-hearted support to his party’s nominee...

First of all,
BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Second of all,

Third, I will believe it when I see it. Hussein is, I believe, a race-baiter. He may find a reason to "convince" Meek to walk away, then support Crist the DillHole. But to do an outright abandonment would be a surprise. Hussein's right hand man, Rahm, (aka Hussein's puppetmaster) already ignored Charlie's call according to reports.
