One of his commrades called into Coast to Coast a little while ago - all paranoid about “What if the Tea-Partiers set up some way to put viruses on our computers that would add chi1d porn and get us arrested?”
It was awesome and totally sad, all at once.
Yeah, I had to google the sanctimonious little prick to identify him... all I can say is
"Be verrry afwaid..."
"When a dominant provider of information -- I mean Fox particularly -- acts not as news but as propaganda for extremists, aberrations like the Tea Party thrive," Carey said, referring to Fox News channel, part of Rupert Murdoch-controlled company News Corp.
This guy should be a stand-up comedian!
Besides the fact that FNC is a mere cable-only channel, there is the little matter thatHalf the truth is often a great lie. - Benjamin Franklin. . . which means that news - even accurate news - and propaganda are not inherently mutually exclusive categories. It all depends on what particular fraction of the truth you are informed of - and what particular facts you are not told. And that "news" as a category has systemic biases in it cannot be seriously disputed. "If it bleeds, it leads" is one systemic bias, and "sex sells" is another. "There's nothing more worthless than yesterday's newspaper" is another, and "'Man Bites Dog' not 'Dog Bites Man'" is another. As is the simple fact that journalists love to set themselves up as cardboard heroes upon whom you may rely to save you from insubstantial "dangers" from such threatening demographics as middle-aged white Christians.
"Everybody knows that Tocqueville was concerned and worried and that he feared the tyranny of the majority," Carey said in an interview in New York. "The other thing he talks about is culture, about the great dumbing-down of our culture."
Carey, who is the executive director of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at Hunter College in New York, gripes that while people may have been awarded college degrees, they are not sufficiently educated and that a general lack of reading has contributed to a loss of thinking.
I agree with him, however, I recognize the true culprit. The so-called progressive, or A.K.A. the so-called liberal, in concert to a degree with the RINO. After all it wasn't the conservative that loosened the morals of this great nation, it was them. Teachers, those responsible for the education of our children, who identify themselves as conservative are far outnumbered by the "liberal" a.k.a. "progressive". Lastly, who is the big proponent of "diversity", without a doubt the single largest cause of American cultural destruction. So much so that we get in trouble for even flying the American flag.
Apparently this guy is like many of the "so-called" scientists of today, that draw incorrect conclusions.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!, but then again not really.
Peter Carey? Never heard of him.
“Carey, who is the executive director of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at Hunter College in New York...”
Another hack writer whose book will appear at No. 12,345,753 on the best seller list. Maybe he can pay unions to buy his screed and place them next to Clinton’s excretive tome stored by the millions in abandoned warehouses.
I never heard of this tool before this article, but I’m sure Mister Carey will donate most of the proceeds from his books to helping the poor and unfortunate. Just another typical leftist hypocrite.
He is one of those of limited wit who hear about a problem and cannot figure out which shoe to put on which foot before going out the door to demonstrate their concern.
