Tom Campbell sure seems to be the California establishment candidate, how is he not just the “establishment candidate”?

Why is the pro abortion, pro gay marriage, rabidly anti gun, Tom Campbell winning, and why doesn’t anyone seem to care that he is?

He’s certainly the liberal candidate, but remember when he ran last time in 1992, there was a three-way race that Bruce Herschensohn won over Campbell with Sonny Bono taking between 10 and 20 percent.

Herschensohn had the conservative bonafides to beat Campbell while Bono played the middle between them and built up his visibility for his congressional run in 1994.

Can’t Carly pull it out in a classier way rather than trying to crush DeVore with insider endorsements from “GOP machine” connected organizations and what some are calling an organized smear campaign using a so-called “citizens group” as a front?

Is the real reason for all this troll trashing of DeVore this weekend part of a “smear machine” organized by Fiorina’s people?

I wish it were just Democrats up to mischief and maybe some of them are, bttt......

“There is also a pack of astro-turfy Sarah Palin PAC bloggers blog-flogging DeVore over the past 48 hours. ........”

What on earth would be the point of this?
Wow folks - I know we really like certain national figures, but we should NOT be blowing up Conservative Republicans!

I can see her the “cancer survivor” going Michael J. Fox and supporting killing the unborn for stem cell research like my congressman.

The Pro-Life organization here in PA rates my congressman at 57 percent, then boldly calls him “PRO-LIFE” on the voter guides every two years.

He’s the kind of ‘pro-life’ Carly will be.

Campbell is not an insider. But he’s no conservative either.

He is insider enough that Mitt romney and Meg Whitman sent him from the governor's race over to the Senate race, as far as not being conservative, you should not even need to mention that, he is campaigning as being more liberal than Boxer.

“Campbell supports abortion rights and gay marriage, and argues that Boxer’s greatest asset against either of his two Republican opponents, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina and state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, would be the state’s decidedly un-conservative social views.

“She has always been able to move the debate over to the social issues. She will not be able to do that against me,” Campbell told POLITICO.”

Does that person have a history of doing that? That post (taken by itself) certainly didn’t fall into that category.

Fiorina, Campbell virtually tied in GOP Senate money-raising race, too — but both trail Boxer $ stockpile

So what chance would DeVore have in defeating Boxer?

The prize is winning in the November elections, getting power away from Democrats, NOT nominating a Republican candidate, who will go down in flames in the general election, handing victory to the Democrats to continue their destruction of the US. Is this a conservative achievement?

I’m sorry but, if you’re the “Nextrush” you better learn how to spellcheck your tagline. Your FR homepage is incomprehensible to say the least. I wish you luck in your endeavors because I really think you’re gonna need a bunch of it!!!

I’m REALLY, REALLY starting to HATE the freeking GOP.

The way they've been acting in this CA Senate race has us calling them the "Harpie Party" at my house these days.

Most FR old-timers will know what I'm talking about.

Frankly, the pro-FioRINO posters on FR the last couple of days bear all the hallmarks of posting straight from the New Majority talking points.

Vicious gutter politics at it's most cringe-worthy.

Campbell is not an insider.

Like hell he's not.  He served in the House of Representatives in the 1990's.

But he’s no conservative either.

Two strikes against him.

I think what you’re trying to say based on what I know of polticans in my parts, is that an “electable” candidate like Carly Fiorina who may vote Pro-Life half the time or Pro-Second Amendment half the time is better than a liberal Democrat.

I see those kind of people as “slow death” candidates not just for the unborn, but frankly as people who will spend 3.2 trillion instead of the Democrats 3.5 trillion a year.

And that just means the slower death of the United States of America.
