Holder: Taliban Behind Times Square Attack (Won’t Discuss Why Team Obama Took Him Off Terror List)

Eric Holder today admitted that the Taliban was behind the attempted bombing in Times Square by Faisal Shahzad. The Political Punch reported:

In his first Sunday morning interview, Attorney General Eric Holder revealed that the Pakistani Taliban was behind Faisal Shahzad’s attempted bombing of Times Square last week.

“We’ve now developed evidence that shows that the Pakistani Taliban was behind the attack,” Holder said on “This Week.”

“We know that they helped facilitate it. We know that they probably helped finance it. And that he was working at their direction.”

Of course Holder was not asked why Faisal Shahzad was removed from a terror watch list after 2008.

Previously… Earlier this week it was reported that the Obama White House removed confessed terrorist Faisal Shahzad from the Department of Homeland Security travel lookout list sometime after Barack Obama came into office.

Terrorist Faisal Shahzad had substantial connections to the Taliban, reached out to the Taliban, was influenced by Yemeni terror leader Anwar al Awlaki, made at least a dozen return trips to Pakistan since arriving in the United States in 1999, and he bought a one way ticket with cash to Pakistan.

Now we find out that he was “blogging” and asking for jihad as far back as 2006 but that the Obama Administration took him off the terror watch list anyway. Terror expert Walid Phares weighed in on the confessed Times Square bomber today in an interview on FOX News:

...It was also discovered that Shahzad was posting on terror websites since 2006.

...It makes you wonder what a guy has to do to make Team O’s terror list?

It’s OK. He doesn’t have to “discuss why he took him off terror list.” I don’t need to be told by Eric Holder why he was taken off the terror list to know the reason.

Those immigration files used to contain a ton of intel info, at least in the early 70’s when we actually kept tabs on whom was coming here. I guess that has gone by the boards now too and not just under Ozero. I would bet this crap started under Carter and his pan world visions.

Holder needs to discuss this in front of a congressional committee. He also needs to provide the list of names of everyone else who was taken off the list.

Keep in mind, too, that Michael Savage remains on Britain's watch list.

Whatever the reason(s), be it naivete, reflexive anti-Bush policies or pro-jihadist sentiment, it is BAD. I hope and pray that the good men and women in the field, local, state and federal, throughout the world, do what they need to do. We will be depending more and more on local and state levels of security, as DC is under enemy control.

While Holder is at it, perhaps he can explain why (with all the evidence of terrorist connections and activity) this mutt was given US citizenship in 2009?

These Muslim terrorist enablers in our governmnet have a lot to answer for...

How in the hell did That happen? Pretty scary if you ask me. So we have open borders, guys tearing off their middle-east patches at the border, untold thousands of these numbnuts walking around in our midst and US Citizens to boot! It boggles the mind. Time for internment yet? Time for repatriation back to their countries of origin? I tell ya', when more US kids die due to Obama's appeasement stance and love of all things Muslim. . . Obama, We are at War with Islam! The sooner you and all of America understand that, the sooner we'll competently protect ourselves.

MSM will not ask how someone on the watch list for 10 years, then can become a citizen when O comes to office. (Obviously he still needed to be on watch list.)

Congressional Inquiry: How Did Shahzad Become U.S. Citizen? thread

Senator Charles Grassley (R-IA) is launching an inquiry into how Faisal Shahzad became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2009 despite multiple law enforcement investigations into his background over the last 10 years.

Grassley sent Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano a letter today asking for the "Alien" file for Shahzad and his family members and for everyone who has been a reference or a sponsor for the terror suspect.
