I don’t see where it says you can “pick and choose” from the respective Constitutions, but that the candidates and members must - rather than supporting UNCONSTITUTIONAL Bills as they (especially Snowe) have in the past - consider all of their actions as it relates to the respective Constitutions.

At least that’s what I got from the article (admitted I didn’t go read the entire platform as written).

Having to even put in writing that you support the constitution rather than a political party is scary.

As to the last point you will have to read the rest of the article so you can see my reference, where Snowe makes the statement about picking and choosing what you stand for.
