Supporter,
Many of you have contacted me to help you with the problems you are having with some of the Republican county offices. It appears that the office folks are confused about what is happening in this election.
Let me begin by giving you the information you have requested, and not received, from those offices. For those who have been told that you may not have my office phone number, you can call me at 814-xxx-xxxx.
For those who have been told that you may not pick up or store yard signs at county offices, we have signs available for pick-up at 1838 Goucher St. in Johnstown, or you can arrange to have one delivered to you by calling or e-mailing us.
For those who have been told that you may not use county offices to make phone calls on my behalf, we will be happy to supply you with a list and a script.
For those who have been told that you will not be assigned a poll if you want to support my candidacy, we are putting poll worker lists together right now, so let us know where you vote and we will plug you in.
The confusion is arising because the state party is attempting to merge the special election and the primary election into one race, and then claiming that I am not the endorsed candidate. My opponent is making no effort to set the record straight, but is cooperating in their effort.
The truth is that there are 2 totally separate elections happening on May 18th. There is the special election to finish the balance of Mr. Murtha's term. I am not on the ballot in that election, and have not involved myself in it in any way.
There is also the regularly scheduled Republican primary to determine who will represent us in November. I am on the ballot there. In that primary, there is NO endorsed candidate.
You should have had full access to every resource any Republican county office had to offer, and I am saddened to see the state party insiders attempt to deny you the opportunity to select your candidate in a fair and open primary. This behavior is one of the very things I am running to change.
It's time that we the people take our party back. I will see you at the polls on May 18th to do just that.Thank you and God bless you
Very respectfully,
Bill
[Highlighted by me]
Bill ran against Murtha in 2008 with little or no support from the party apparatchiks, and likely would have won absent the Obama coat-tails and Murtha's Machine shenanigans. He reset his sights on beating Murtha again, and except for Burns buying his way onto the ballot with his personal wealth should have been recognised as the Republican candidate.
If you can see your way to help Bill Russell please do so. Our Constitution needs men like him. Thank you.
Ping for Russell.

Tim Burns has indicated he can be a self-funder... said Gleason (PAGOP Chairman). I told him hed better get ready to cut some checks.

Contact me to be added to ping list.
Dittos for Russell.
The GOP insiders like Chairman Gleason want Tim Burns to win the primary as well as the special election May 18th.
We need an outsider like Russell.
THanks, brityank.
The 527 group even paid Zogby and Associates for a poll it revealed Russell as the choice of Republican voters by 30 points, although most voters had heard of neither candidate.Once more adding credence to my opinion that the Maggot Slime Media is making fetid carrion out of the body politic. Tim Burns "grew up in the district", yet never bothered to take on Murtha until he was dead. Tells me all I need to know about his priorities.
Bill Russell sat in my house, said Burns, and told me that the reason he got into race was that he was upset about what John Murtha had said about the Marines at Haditha. Murtha had accused eight Marines of complicity in a 2006 massacre in that Iraq town; seven were later cleared. He moved into district to take on Murtha. I grew up in the district, in Johnstown.["]
There are ... five different TV broadcast areas covering the district.
Thanks for the bumps and info. Wish I could add my vote for him, but I'm not a Democrat! ;^)
LOL!
