SEATTLE -- City leaders expressed shock and disappointment Friday at video that first aired on KIRO 7 Eyewitness News showing two Seattle police officers kicking a man as he lay on the ground. The man was detained during a robbery investigation last month. The two officers have been reassigned as police conduct an investigation amid a firestorm of reaction.

I’m usually critical of police being power abusive, but I’ll give them this one.
The news reporter “they were strolling....” isn’t a bit biased either.
The perp should move to Arizona. Our “controversial” new bill allows our police to only ask to see his “peppers”. They’re not allowed to beat him up. LOL!
After all, if the touchy feely Seattle Police can't avoid profiling, how can those mean Redneck Cops in Arizona do it?

And you would be committing an assault and should be arrested and jailed.
If you are a police officer I hope you do realize that the US SUpreme COurt ruled that giving cops the finger in the US is protected speech under the 1A.
So on top of committing an assault you may very well have violated their civil rights.
Cops lack the restraint to deal with people being "mean" to them need to go flip burgers.
I rail pretty hard against random abuse but when the police catch a perp in the act of an actual crime, I don’t feel terribly outraged.
How is that relevant to this innocent man?
I haven’t read anywhere that Shandy Cobane is Hispanic. What’s your source for that?
This is no Rodney King story and the video is weak - they won’t be able to loop it. It did not look like much of a blow after the kid moved his hand.
The cop was helpful in the end when their identity was known.
By stomping on the back of his knee, the female officer could have done permanent damage to his tendons and/or kneecap. The scary thing is the bi**** knows full well where she was aiming her stomp. So much for the presence of female officers having a tempering affect on testoserene fortified male officers.
No, in one sense it’s much worse—using a racial slur caught on tape is an indefensible and shameful act never justified anywhere anytime.
Unfortunately this has become normal police behavior. Nothing new here, just another day in Anytown USA.
