New Obama book by Newsweek senior editor Jonathan Alter airs private flares of temper
New York Daily News ^ | May 5, 2010 | David Saltonstall

President Obama may cultivate an image as the unflappable Mr. Cool, but he can get hot under the collar too, according to a new book.

In "The Promise: President Obama, Year One," by Newsweek senior editor Jonathan Alter, the author recounts a series of private blow-ups - including a particularly fiery one involving the nation's top military brass.

"A presidential dressing down unlike any in the United States in more than half a century," is how Alter describes the October 2009 eruption.

But it's often the flashes of anger, not amour, that shine through Alter's tome, including:

"No! No! You're making that up!" he shouted at aide David Axelrod, grabbing him by the shirt. "That can't be right."

What this really means is that liberal journalists are finally revealing traits and events that should have been revealed on the campaign trail had they been honest professionals. Just like the book, “Gamechanger”, they withheld blockbuster remarks to protect the Democratic ticket and party, and then reported them a year later to sell books.

This is further evidence of corrupt journalism.

The more we observe this pernicious man, the more we realize that he only has two behavior patterns when dealing with others: he is alternately dismissive and derisive. He knows no other response.

Obama probably has dartboards with the faces of Limbaugh and Hannity on them.

“This is a very bitter and dangerous man. He is driven by inner demons that he has no desire to exorcise. And he will not be satisfied until he has brutally punished those he thinks are responsible for his own deep-seated self-loathing: white people. You can’t grow hating your white blood — in his case, half of his very being — without becoming seriously demented.” I agree. I also agree. He hates whites and he hates himself. And clearly he is a Muslim "The Muslim Call to Prayer is one of the Prettiest Sounds on Earth" - said Barack Obama to the New York Times Allah is greater than any description
I testify that there is no deity except for Allah
I testify that Muhammad is a Messenger of Allah
Make haste towards the prayer
Make haste towards the worship
Prayer is better than sleep
Allah is the greatest!
There is no deity except for Allah

Petraeus later described himself as "chagrined," and both he and Gates "swore loyalty" to the President.

Interesting sentence, eh whot?

You are atribbuting a human failing and sin and weakness of character to God...

Jesus never lost His temper...

Jesus is God...

He never sinned...

That day Jesus was angry but He never sinned...

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Hebrews 4:15

For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:21

He was angry with righteous indignation but he did not sin...He did not lose his temper...

There is no mention of Him losing his temper in the Christian Bible...

Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves “It is written,” he said to them, “’My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it a ‘den of robbers.’” Matthew 21:12, 13

Then they came to Jerusalem. And He entered the temple and began to drive out those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves; and He would not permit anyone to carry merchandise through the temple. And He began to teach and say to them, “Is it not written, ‘MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL THE NATIONS ‘? But you have made it a ROBBERS’ DEN.” The chief priests and the scribes heard this, and began seeking how to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching. Mark 11:15-18

Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling, saying to them, “It is written, ‘AND MY HOUSE SHALL BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER,’ but you have made it a ROBBERS’ DEN.” Luke 19:45, 46

In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father’s house into a marketplace!” His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.” Then the Jews demanded of him, “What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?” Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” John 2:14-19

And we are told to be angry, but not to sin...

Be angry and do not sin; Ephesians 4:26

THe Geneva Bible

15) He teaches us how to bridle our anger in such a way that, even though our anger is fierce, yet it does not break out, and that it is without delay quenched before we sleep. And this is so that Satan may not take occasion to give us evil counsel through the wicked counsellor, and destroy us.

According to the bible, He overturned tables and said that the businessmen were robbers. So, if moneychangers and merchants are akin to those who commit robberies.....

Sorry, Nana, I can’t agree with your argument.

AMEN! You are so right! If we had a responsible media, most of what has happened politically since the Oklahoma bombing would be entirely different. That saved Clinton’s presidency and the rest is history. It is downright scary to think that such a person as Obama whose background could so easily have been exposed was elected POTUS.

Nobody can get angrier than he that holds all the wrong positions. When somebody is consistently wrong, the fits of anger is the only release. Radicals are always angry. They know that it is only by brute force and lying and stealing that they can get their way.

Alter recounts how Bruni once bragged to First Lady Michelle Obama how she and French President Nicholas Sarkozy kept a head of state waiting while they had sex.

"Bruni wanted to know if, like the Sarkozys, Michelle and the President had ever kept anyone waiting that way," Alter writes, offering no source. "Michelle laughed nervously and said no."

Probably more like this: "Michelle laughed wistfully and said no."
