...so he’s going to be accused of domestic violence and have all his gun-rights abridged after a run-in with a one-night stand that got pregnant 20 years ago.. oh, and has to pay the back-payments on the child-support as well?
Yeah, that would suck as an ending.

A communist-Muslim president will be elected and prosecute him for war crimes. Naah. Too far fetched.

I loved the show; but if they can’t do a happy ending; then I will stop watching now. Jack has been through enough and deserves a happy ending.

Is anyone troubled that Jack Bauer carries a purse?
Granted, he can get more SIGs in that thing.

I told my husband this week that they would likely kill him off. I can't believe that a movie of 24 could be made without Keifer as Bauer though.
To: Sub-Driver
The word is out...Jack Bauer undergoes gender reassignment surgery.
To: Sub-Driver
This “movie” talk is all nonsense. There will be no movie. Bauer will die in the final episode.
To: Sub-Driver
Jack Bauer will be sitting down to enjoy a meal in his favorite Italian restaurant when the scene will fade to black...
Pretty original huh?

WOW! What a way to kill a show and the memory of it, not to mention the loyal fans who have kept it a top-rated show all these years.
I remember movies made during the 70s. Hardly any of them ended happily. It was such a bummer to suspend your disbelief for two hours, then to leave the theater bummed because it either ended badly, leaving a bad taste in your mouth; or it didn't really end, leaving you to guess at the ending.
Then, during the 80's, they started making movies that had happy endings (again). People would leave the theater feeling good, not like they just wasted two hours.
Since the announcement that this is the last season, fans on the 24 board have been hoping that Jack can finally "get some rest", and not the permanent kind! If it all ends badly for Jack, DVD sales will plummet. Fans will refuse to support their efforts, and 24 will die off. I doubt even the 24 movie will help them.
UNLESS . . . . the ending is a teaser for the movie! Talk about your marketing! UGH. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

That reminds me!
I had my satellite turned off in Jan 2009...so watch all my shows online free- on MY schedule.
So I save up 3-4 episodes of “24” to watch at once - (half the time ‘cause it doesn’t have the long commercials - and I don’t have to wait a whole week between episodes to see ‘what happens now?”
So I’m gonnamake the popcorn and catch up
