Where's SuperMan when ya need him?
Crewmen aboard the motor vessel Joe Griffin look on as the mobile offshore drilling unit Q4000 lowers a pollution containment chamber into the Gulf of Mexico over the site of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill May 6, 2010. The chamber is designed to cap the oil discharge that was a result of the Deepwater Horizon rig fire and collapse. Picture taken May 6, 2010. Strange pic - it certainly doesn't LOOK like a "giant 100-ton concrete-and-steel box " - it looks like a couple of plastic phone booths.
Must be farther away than it looks.

Not to Monday Morning quarterback but the oil industry should have had one of these babies sitting on the dock just in case. It looks like cheap insurance. You have at least 10 big major oil companies who could have chipped in and paid the storage costs.

BP spokesman Bill Salvin told AP: “We are essentially taking a 4-story building, lowering it 5,000 feet and setting it on the head of a pin”..........in pitch black darkness.

I would pay full retail for a DVD documentary on this whole disaster, and how they are trying to repair it.
But I want lots of underwater footage from the ROV’s.
To: NormsRevenge
Supposedly it’s been done before but not at 5,000 ft. depth.
