Voters have lost faith in Obama to craft solutions to the country's economic challenges. Just 39% say they trust Obama more than GOPers in Congress, while 32% say they believe the GOP has the right ideas. That 7-point gap is down from a 29-point Obama advantage in the April '09 poll.
Only 39% of voters said they would vote to re-elect Pres. Obama if the election were held today, while 50% say they would vote for someone else. A quarter of voters would definitely vote to re-elect Obama, while 37% would definitely vote for someone else.

Poll: Only 39% would vote for Obama again
We’ll see about that, too
Won’t matter you bastids -
you already did your damage.
Only 39% of voters said they would vote to re-elect Pres. Obama if the election were held today,
If that quote was lifted off the MORON index it is still way too high.
You can fool some of the people all the time.
And most of those work in the msm newsrooms.
Ah don’t worry...the unemployment numbers will bump up that approval rating a bit. (she said sarcastically)
... and there is always a certain type of idiot who never learns!
Most of those 39% need a socialist just to survive.
People have realized they were sold an inexperienced racist pig. Must be a whole lot of fun in the backrooms of the Dem Caucus. To bad the seasoned leadership of Dems weren’t able to tell bammy its the economy stupid before leaping off the socialistism cliff. The other institution that will pay for this is the media, the sellers of the racist pig. F’em all.
A few minutes of internet research on Obama could have spared this country a whole lot of pain.
I guess that means that 39% are really stuck on stupid.
They are a bigger threat to our country than obama is.
A lot of that damage can be undone.
Perfect. Another use for old Obama stickers is to put them on the stop signs in your area. Someone around here has been doing it. I get a chuckle every time.
And in May 2010, this means absolutely nothing!
chicago obama Shorebank story is HUGE!!!!!!!

Not necessarily. This supposes that they didn't know what he is before the voted for him. Most blacks voted for him simply because he's one of their homies. Last time I looked, he's still black, and these racists aren't going to change their vote regardless of what he does because what he does is irreleant to them it's what color he is that counts with them. There are a large number of people/parasites who wholly agree that they should live at the expense of those of us who work for a living, and he's far exceeded their expectations, so they won't change their vote. And there are some who as you say are complete morons, and they haven't suddenly gotten smarter. I see him having a good shot at a second term.

For all the sources of information we have now, electing a socialist should not have happened. The trouble is that there is that core of people who are too stupid or too lazy to do some research. Or they just don’t care who they put in office as long as he’s black or from Chicago or from some group or class. They listen to all those hot air promises and they swallow them hook, line and sinker. That some have found out the hope and change thing hasn’t worked out for them is encouraging. But the hard core true believers are still holding on. They are easily manipulated by the administration propaganda machine with the help of the mainstream media. Or they don’t pay attention to what’s going on around them. They’re too busy watching Survivor, Biggest Loser, American Idol, et al.; they don’t have the time to notice that this country is going to hell in a handbasket.
