I'm curious. What was that affiliate’s stance on the Ryan divorce situation when Obama was running. Was that taboo? OR did they run 24/7 on the racy divorce papers details?

“REPORTER: Channel 2’s made a decision. We’re really not going to cover the Senate race, if it’s consistently only in your terms, is about Broadway Bank.”

COMPLETELY UNBIASED LIBERAL MEDIA, right?

It would help if there was a GOP senate candidate to start with.

Thank you, Channel 2.

Mark Kirk is pro-partial birth abortion, pro-cap and trade, pro-amnesty, pro-gun control, and pro-big government.

He is the most liberal Republican in the country.

The Democratic nominee, Alexi Giannoulias has been under fire because of the failiure of Broadway Bank and his direct connection to it. Believe it or not, there are suspicions of corruption, incompetence and graft with regard to a Democrat in Chicago... this is such a damaging story for Giannoulias that Rep. Kirk has been able to gain some serious traction in the race by continuing to focus on the issue. That's what a politician does when engaged in a tough campaign... one of the major local stations in Chicago threatening not to cover the campaign if the Republican continues to discuss the most damaging aspect of his opponent's record. Is this the role of an FCC licensed station, entrusted with the role of serving the public interest in relation to a free-flow of information for the citizenry?
This whole scandal isn't getting any coverage from that particular station, and they suddenly feel like the last doughnut, or what? No, they're just a group of partisan media shills, that's all they've been, and all they'll ever be.

“We’re really not going to cover the Senate race, if it’s consistently only in your terms, is about Broadway Bank”

Wow. That takes the cake for partisanship. Campaigns have to be in the terms of the candidate and candidates should have a powerful point they can drive home.

It’s the reporters’ job to investigate the claims and report the findings (or at least manufacture the evidence to refute).

Is this what the 0ne had in mind for the fairness doctrine?

If these Chicago media dumbwads were really smart, they would continue to cover Kirk, as the revelation of his Establishment RINO position would discourage conservative voters. But libs aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer, thank God.
