I already don’t watch, I live in San Diego.
I watch precious little of it as is now. Even the game’s most ardent supporters are dismayed at the length of games and the silliness that goes on.
As for live games...$30 parking, $8 beer? No thanks.
Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
Yup, I’m right there with you.
I can actually see this from MLB's perspective, too. Baseball is rapidly becoming no different than soccer, in terms of its diminishing appeal to American fans. So bending over backwards to mollify their Latino players and fans may be a good business decision -- for them.
All these companies and entities are being pressured by radical anti-American, Mexican organizations....
I will avoid MLB if they take the All-Star game from Phoenix. If MLB wants to pander to Liberals, Illegal Aliens, La Raza, MEChA, etc....my money goes elsewhere
I don't like to sit in an uncomfortable seat for 4 hours, watching a group of men getting paid for standing around, while pondering whether I should purchase a $7 beer.
Why should a Jewish commisioner of MLB bother seeing Jesse Jackson, a known antisemite?
I would think that MLB has signed contracts with the people in Phoenix, though; so, can they just take it away like that?
I’ve basically boycotted MLB since the ‘94 strike, so they haven’t missed me and I don’t miss them.
I sent this email:
If MLB makes the mistake of allowing politics into the sport by moving the All Star Game from Arizona, I will no longer spend any money on your form of entertainment. Sports are a diversion from our daily lives. Keep it that way.
This should be a good show, being broadcast live this afternoon from Phoenix KFI AM 640 - 2 p.m.
I would boycott MLB, but it is already so utterly boring that I do not watch it ever.
I wish I was a bigger fan of MLB so I could sock em in the financials, but baseball is almost as boring as golf. It is more like chess. I don’t mind chess if I am playing it.
After reading the first 15 posts, my suspicions are confirmed. Most of the people boycotting are people who don’t support baseball now. Some boycott.
I missed something.
Is anyone with authority in MLB threatening this?
Or some moonbat on DU?
Striking multimillionaires just didn't do it for me any more.
I have found that it is much more enjoyable to go and watch a local high school game if I want to watch a sporting event. The price is right, the kids appreciate fans in the stands and it is just a better all around atmosphere.
If I really wish to go to a “major league” game I will hop in the car and drive up to Round Rock to watch the Express.
