Remarkable that as a white, degree holding Canadian I have almost no chance at ever becoming an American, while those from nations on the terrorist watch list (or those that should be) can become naturalized citizens....seemingly with little examination into their background or ideologies.
Hard not to feel like America gets what it deserves sometimes.

Exactly. Any Canadians satisfied with their single-payer system presumably would have no incentive to become U.S. citizens since in so doing, they’d have to give up health care they like. Conversely, those disgruntled with the Canadian system who attempt to flee it by becoming U.S. citizens will discover that Obamacare portends single-payer on the installment plan. Canadians used to have the advantage of relying on U.S. health care as a “safety valve.” But who will be OUR safety valve once the progressives have finally attained their dream of Medicare for all?
