The City of Chicago's inspector general has opened an investigation into an affordable-housing program under which U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez's daughter was able to buy a condominium at a discount, despite family income of more than $93,000, and resell it after 14 months at a 55 percent profit.

Another real estate swindle for the Gutierrez family!
The classic occurred when the Cook County Assessor "mistakenly" assessed a Gutierrez residence as an undeveloped vacant lot and permitted Gutierrez to avoid paying higher property taxes for several years due to "the clerical error."

Just a slight turbo-tax oversight I am sure.
Corny capitalism in it’s finest, public sector unions with pension that are unsustainable.
Isn’t it now time to limit public sector pay to less than the national average salary? And pensions to only Social Security.

I thought that was why people got into politics in Chicago in the first place.

Another indirect Puerto Rico ping. This guy Gutierrez passes himself as a "Puerto Rican" and son of "immigrants", when he was born and raised in Chicago and his parents were born American citizens. He is part of the Obama/Chicago political machine, is a big mouth and purportedly is competing with Rahm Emmanuel for the Chicago mayor seat. I wouldn't be surprised if Rahm was the one providing this dirt.
Puerto Rico Ping! Please Freepmail me if you want on or off the list.

Guitierrez—isn’t he the critter that was arrested over the weekend in D.C. in some pro-illegal demonstration, which we haven’t heard much about in the media?

How’s that investigation going of that other Chicago real estate deal that was bought at a ridiculously low price. Can’t think who it was... name was something like, uh, Rezko and that other guy, uh, Obama... and I think that second guy’s aunt is living in government housing was supposed to be deported years ago... or I might be mistaken about any investigation...

This also happened in Dallas, a bunch of people got caught and went to jail. Many of them African-American Democrat politicians. Including Representative Terri Hodge, google that and see.

Long years ago, “America’s Most Wanted” ran a story on some fugitives from justice involved with the radical terrorist FALN movement. The FALN was seeking to liberate Puerto Rico from the USA (even though a majority of Puerto Ricans preferred American benefit payments to independence). The program used from file footage from an earlier Puerto Rican independence demonstration. On camera, with a full head of hair and a mustache, was a youthful Luis Guiterrez shouting and waving the red flag of the former Soviet Union with the sickle and hammer.
Now, this renegade is serving in the US Congress.
