Paper or plastic? After railing against "Nazis" in AZ, Dems propose biometric SS cards for all.

Democrats unveiled a 26-page proposal on immigration Thursday evening that closely follows a bipartisan draft hashed out by Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) earlier this year.

Here are the main points:

* Enforce borders: The lawmakers plan to increase the number of border patrol officers and provide them with better equipment to detect fraud and smuggling. They also want to install ground sensors throughout the southern border to make it easier to detect illegal border crossing.

* Free up jails: The proposal calls for the deportation of illegal immigrants currently detained in federal and local prisons. Going forward, judges should minimize detention when possible.

* Verify workers: The Social Security Administration would begin issuing fraud-resistant social security cards that include a unique biometric identifier. Employers would have to verify work authorization using the new biometric system.

The iterative march toward the chip implant ID/data ‘card’/ mark of the beast marches forward.

I believe this is one of the reasons the globalist oligarchy set up the immigration border disasters in the first place.

I realize such facts don’t seem to be that popular in some of the loftier reaches of FR’s influential folks.

Facts can still be stubborn facts regardless of beliefs about them.

You may be right about that. No better way to bring down a superpower than to follow the historical playbook. Just look at what happened to Rome when they allowed non-citizens voting rights — the Empire was crushed by it.

A question for you if you feel like answering it on this thread... Do you feel that the Mark of the Beast can be through an ID card, or do you believe it will be an implant? Or are you saying it’s more of a method to get people used to the idea of biometrics in the first place, hence making it easier for people to accept the other plans?

I’m still wondering about the devices for med. records in Obamacare — seems more directly on target for the prophecy of such. If it’s mandated one cannot “live” without it — or at least not obtain any medical services if it is implemented. I suppose that “chip” for medical care can indirectly be tied to bank accounts and such, too — for the IRS now has Real-Time access to force compliance... Hence, if you refuse, the IRS can prevent you from buying or selling via control over your access to funds...

I BELIEVE THIS:

it’s more of a method to get people used to the idea of biometrics in the first place, hence making it easier for people to accept the other plans?

Yes, OThuga Care is requiring such in 3 years by all indications, imho.

THx.

I'm all for a better identification system for all U.S. citizens. If you can't accurately identify who is legal to be here how are you going to determine who needs to leave? SS numbers are to easy to steal, and drivers licenses are not universal or fraud proof so bring it on. Some seem to be paranoid their is a tracking device capability in this and I don't see it. If you are paranoid about that throw away your credit cards, debit cards, toll pass through stickers, health insurance cards and cell phones right now before you grip about the possibilty of being tracked by this card somehow.

Exactly! Our present inept systems of identification have brought the immigration problem on us in the first place!

A national id would also go a long way to cut down on voter fraud too!

If we can't even get them to require a picture ID, what makes you think they will require this. It will not be used to cut down on voter fraud, you can bet on it.

In California you are also fingerprinted when you get you drivers license. If this is the case why change the social security card why not use your drivers license or id card
when applying for a job. I just find it odd

"If you are paranoid about that throw away your credit cards, debit cards, toll pass through stickers, health insurance cards and cell phones right now..."

Here's the difference: all the items on that list result from voluntary associations. If I decide to trade some privacy for convenience, it's my choice. Not so for biometric SocSec cards: it's not voluntary, and it's not for my convenience.

Then we shouldn’t be seeing you complaining about all the illegal aliens then either I would think.

Only as long as the dems are calling the shots.

Doesn’t follow. There are lots of measures that would make law enforcement more efficient, but are an unacceptable infringement on the freedom of non-criminals. Should I not be seen complaining about reckless driving unless I’m for blanketing the roadways with traffic cams?

I refer back to my point:

“If you can’t accurately identify who is legal to be here how are you going to determine who needs to leave?”

You haven’t addressed this at all.

Short answer: you’re not. There are lots of ways to discourage illegal immigration that don’t require identifying and deporting 12 million people, which is not going to happen in any case.

And none of them would be as effective as positive ids in mho.
