Extortion.. The new American way.
Barack "Hugo Chavez" Obama would approve.
To: Nachum
Surely there’s an incarcerated serial killer who would be willing to volunteer for execution duty.

I’ll do it....no charge....just pay my way there and I’ll determine whether or not the POS is dead....give me a few extra bucks for bullets and I’ll make sure he/she is dead with a couple between the eyes

American Board of Anesthesiologists reflects its leaders’ belief that ‘’we are healers, not executioners’’

I wonder what their position is on abortion?
I guess the use of firing squads will spread from the few states which presently use them.

No problem. Utah still has the firing squad.

It isn’t hard to give an injection. And don’t worry about injecting a large air bubble either.

Fine by me. Let’s go back to public hangings and firing squads. A doctor not necessarily needed there.

I'm an ER doctor. I'll do it. In fact you don't NEED to be an anesthetist to do lethal injection. As it was explained to me by one of my best friends, who is head of anesthesia at a Phoenix hospital, "you don't pay me to put you to sleep.... you pay me so that you wake up."
Just another liberal infiltrated medical society. The worst two are Pediatric and Psychiatry. Most real doctors are to busy taking care of patients to sit around mentally jerking off in "medical societies" or "organizations". Most of the guys that are involved in these organizations are typical academics or lazy guys/gals that want to get paid conferences, tenure or the easy life with the "medical" reputation.
Heck, get paramedic student to line up and do a rapid sequence induction on the death row inmates. If they survive 200 rapid sequence inductions and 200 intubation attempts then they can get life in prison without parole.

This is a ploy by leftist doctors in concert with leftist lawyers.Any execution for which a doctor isn't present and doesn't actively and closely participate is,by definition, extremely painful and degrading and, therefore, represents cruel and unusual punishment.
To: Nachum
When will they revoke the certification of any member who participates in a abortion?

Obama is going to need them anyway for his “end of life” clinics. We need to just go back to hanging and/or shooting those criminals on death row. All this “lethel injection” bull**** is filling our landfills with hazardous waste anyway.

Here's my take on this - a little weird, but I've felt this way for a long time.
I support capital punishment. And if executioners were selected by lottery, I'd do my part. I'd pull the switch, pull the trigger, release the trap door, drop the cyanide pellets - with no problem.
But I wouldn't use my medical skills to kill a prisoner.
Just my own opinion.

All the elaborate execution techniques are ridicukous, put a 9mm slug in the base of the skull and load them into a box!

But, they've not told doctors that they cannot consent to serve under the strictures of Obamacare, which will include actions tantamount to manslaughter or even murder - the intentional withholding of medical therapy in the full knowledge that such withholding will almost certainly lead to the patient dying sooner than they would have had the therapy not been denied.
By any name, that smells tantamount to hypocrisy.
