Dale McAlpine was charged with causing “harassment, alarm or distress” after a homosexual police community support officer (PCSO) overheard him reciting a number of “sins” referred to in the Bible, including blasphemy, drunkenness and same sex relationships.
Police officers are alleging that he made the remark in a voice loud enough to be overheard by others and have charged him with using abusive or insulting language, contrary to the Public Order Act.
Christian campaigners have expressed alarm that the Public Order Act, introduced in 1986 to tackle violent rioters and football hooligans, is being used to curb religious free speech.

Do they plan to also arrest pastors who preach against adultery, fornication, coveting thy neighbor’s wife, and a long list of other sins many in any congregation or community will be guilty of?
Quite a precedent they a setting. Any pastor who preaches against sin, and the sinner is made to feel uncomfortable, then the pastor might be subject to arrest.
It’s one thing to hear it prophesied....read history; but to be watching insanity infect mankind, like some global influenza pandemic, remains...astonishing...in spite of all I know, and expected.
What else can any genuine Christian say? That homosexuality is God’s preferable lifestyle?

You DO realise that Britain has a Bill of Rights and has had it long before America?....1688 and 1689 in England and Scotland.
And Britain has a written constitution and we are citizens not subjects either.
