Heroic cops stopped a car bomb from blowing up in the heart of Times Square Saturday night, officials told the Daily News.
Two female cops patrolling the area noticed a man fumbling with something in the back of a Nissan SUV parked on the southwest corner of 45th St. and Broadway about 7 p.m. The man saw the officers looking and took off running.
The two cops went to the car and saw smoke, clusters of canisters and heard something fizzing, a source said. The quick-acting cops called for backup, and the bomb squad was on the way as the Crossroads of the World was evacuated.

I really hope trey and matt did place themselves in the face of danger of this magnitude. From what I have read of this vehicle bomb, it was really serious. Whatever transgressions they made or taboos they broke, they don’t deserve this, and neither does anyone else.
Muslims really need to lighten up. Someone offends them, and they murder with WMD’s (powerful car bomb). Who has committed the greater crime? They are fanatical, homicidal maniacs.
I smell a set up by Obmama cronies? Will they blame the tea parties?

Why did they or one of the officers, not pursue and apprehended the suspect?

Revenge with bombs is OK for them. Only the person who offended them committed a crime. Their revenge is not a crime to them. And the West better wake up to this mindset.

Sounds very similar to a car bomb the Brits intercepted in London about 2 years ago.

It does not take two cops to call for back up on a radio...One chases the suspect, and one secures the scene until backup arrives....
This clearly did not happen, and the suspect/suspects at this point, is free to try again....
