USGS was acting up apparently. I check the site often, and it was error prone yesterday. NOAA is acting up today, FWIW.
Thanks, PghBaldy. I’ve seen these “quirks” on the USGS site before.
I graduated from high school in Anchorage in 1961 and lost my best friend in the “big one” they had in 1964......a 9.2. It was horrific.
My husband was in Santiago, Chile in February when they had a big one there. One of the wood product plants we do business with was wiped out during the ensuing tsunami.
I check the quake sheet several times a day.
