As for punishment, I predict a fine, restricted movement ("incarcerate" at home or similar), and community service. I don't object to not locking him up - he's not a threat to others, and I suspect he is sufficiently deterred already.
No doubt he can do the “community service” working for ACORN. Barack can always pardon him—whether he would do so as early as this Christmas (in the traditional pardon-granting period) or wait until after the 2012 election depends on whether he thinks there would be some political harm to himself. Geraldine Ferraro, Mondale’s running mate, son was convicted of dealing drugs in college. He was known as the ‘pharmacist’.
He is a practicing attorney.
Disgusting.
This kid will be in club fed if he does go. My guess it will be a year or less. I think a year in the tank would be just punishment.
I’m glad he will have a felony conviction on his record so he’ll never get a good technical job with responsibility.
Stewart only had to serve five months behind bars plus five months of home confinement.

Judge Phillips was nominated by President George W. Bush in 2002, meaning Kernell probably doesn’t have a very friendly sentencing judge.
