How can you blame this guy? He was only doing what he had to do. The guy was only trying to feed his family.

I’m wondering if he wanted to get caught. Sometimes that promise of 3 hots and a cot in jail sounds better than their own reality to these slackers.

What’s with the cow bell?

Maybe it was out of tune.

Are you ringing the cow bell like you see people do at baseball games? I’m just trying to understand the context of your post.

As much as I love it when armed citizens make the bad guys fail, this story is not one of the best examples. From other accounts that I read, the robber put a plastic bag over his head, demanded money, then took off the bag so the teller could put the money in it.

I got the impression that Mr. Torres could have written “handgun” on a deposit slip, held it up for the bank robber to see, and the guy would have surrendered. :)

Yeah, it’s more of a “just say no to drugs” story, with a CCW twist.

“Guess what?! I got a fever, and the only prescription...is more cowbell!!”

That SNL skit is hilarious! I just watched it for the first time and it looks like all the guys playing the BOC band were just ready to go into hysterical fits of laughter. Jimmy Fallon did laugh but he tried his best to hide it.
