Fairbanks, Alaska, lawyer Joe Miller is in Washington this week for meetings with conservatives, trying to drum up support for his extremely under-the-radar challenge to Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R). He's got a great hook: On Monday, he says, he'll have news about former governor Sarah Palin's choice in the race. The strong implication is that she'll back him over the state's senior senator.
"Watch the papers on Monday," said Miller after one of his meetings with D.C. conservatives, after being asked whether he had spoken to Palin about an endorsement. "That's all I can say for now. We'll let you know."

That would be a great development.
Sarah maxed out her contribution to Lisa as a peace offering to the Murkowski clan.
Seems to me you wait and let Palin give the first indication. I know there are rumors before hand but the candidate saying something ahead of time I do not like.
And then Murkowski turned around and stabbed Sarah in the back with negative comments about her resignation and then basically calling her a lunatic over her 'death panels' comment.
I suspect that ended Sarah's 'peace offerings'...forever.
I personally think that maybe Miller’s cryptic tease maybe more about some kind of dirt on Murkowski....maybe I’m wrong but we shall see.
Joe Miller is a good solid Constitutional Conservative. Believe me.
I’d love to see Murkowski primaried.
So you’re saying after showing her support and giving her the max donation Palin will now endorse the opposition candidate out of revenge?
Politics as usual, no rogue here, looks like a catfight.
Good thing McCain didn’t slight her...
That is great to hear.
I’ll be surprised if she does.
.
I didn't say that at all and I suggest you stop making things up about what I said.
Well, sure sounds like it.
Sarah has no love for Murkowski and abulutley no interest in running for her Senate seat. If I am not mistaken Murkowski gave to SarahPAC so Sarah just returned the favor. Sarah would like nothing more than to see Lisa lose.
Was Joe Miller the conservative who ran against Murkowski in the 2004 primary, or was that some other Miller?
Oh, so you mean like Lindsey Graham when he gave money to start up Sarah’s PAC and she gave it right back.........but all of these FReepers continue the lie that she supports Graham?........ GOT IT!
No, that was Mike Miller, a former State Senator.
Miller is going to motivate Repubs to come out and vote in primary they usually don't; just to send Lisa Packing. I wish Uncle Teddy was still around. At least with Stevens & Don Young, you knew how they stood and could count on them doing the right thing.
Joe Miller is a good solid Constitutional Conservative. Believe me.

He’s also a veteran who has served in the WOT:
Miller, who grew up in Kansas, is a graduate of Yale Law School and holds a masters in economics from the University of Alaska.
He received an officers commission from West Point, with honors, and is a veteran of the first Gulf War.
After coming to Alaska 16 years ago, Miller worked as an attorney at Condon Partnow & Sharrock in Anchorage before being appointed as a state magistrate in Tok and Superior Court master for the Fourth Judicial District.
After moving to Fairbanks, he served as both an acting state District Court judge and a U.S. magistrate judge.
He left the judiciary in 2004 to run for the state House seat held by Rep. David Guttenberg, D-Fairbanks. He lost in the general election by about 3.5 percent of the vote.

When it comes to making endorsements, our Sarah, God bless her, tends to prefer our military veterans.
She owes the AK GOP establishment zero, especially considering how little support she got from the state’s Republicans after the ‘08 campaign when she returned to her home state to resume governing. They just sat back and let the Dems and some Republicans in the legislature skewer her.
I’d wager real mone4y that she’s going to endorse this guy.

You’re thinking of someone named Mike Miller.
