OK, I just bought some TSP and some Spic n’ Span. The hardware guy found it for me while others waited in line, so I just got it. I read the label on the S’n’S when I got home — “New formula! No phosphates!”
Just fyi. It gave me pleasure to get them, tho — the way it does to ask for ‘plastic, please’ at the market.

Damn - dishwasher soap used as laundry detergent was my secret for keeping whites white.

Two tips; Run the hot water before you start your dish washer and a splash of white vinegar before you start, buy it buy the gallon.

I wonder if pouring white vinegar in when it’s rinsing, or in a little rinse box or something (I’m not used to dishwashers) would help. I have very hard water and I use it for a lot of cleaning purposes to avoid soap scum, even using in rinse water when washing hair.
