Tears streaming down his cheeks, grief overcame Barack Obama today as he attended the funeral of the woman he called the 'Godmother' of the American civil rights movement. The U.S. president was weeping openly as he watched the service for Dorothy Height in Washington today. He delivered the eulogy for Dr Height, whose activisim stretched from the New Deal right up until Mr Obama's election as the first African American president of the United States.

Unlike many people, I’ve actually been to Selma, Alabama. It, like Mamphis, like much of Little Rock, like much of Birmingham and Montgomery, have become black crime-ridden hellholes.

Historian Shelby Foote (PBS’s Civil War) was an early white supporter of black civil rights in the South. He said, many years later, that the biggest tragedy of the civil rights movement was the fact that all the awful, dire consequences the evil racists said would happen all did happen pretty much like they said they would.

Oh boo effing hoo. He’s so full of sh*t. I KNEW he was going to do a cry photo op. He tried to get it at the memorial service for miners, but they all blew him off. You could see the frustration as the last one passed and ignored him, that he missed his crying photo op. He’s such a phony POS. I pity him.
