Because the Denver schools have taken this action, standing against Arizona, then perhaps Freepers can vote against the Denver School of Science and Technology for the Obama White House "Race to the Top" Commencement Challenge. That way Colorado will not be the recipient of a high school graduation commencement visit by Obama.

I am sure glad that civil servants have to stay out of politics.

requires authorities to question people suspected of being in the country illegally

The AP just keeps on misrepresenting the law. Shameless.

The Arizona law signed last week by Gov. Jan Brewer requires authorities to question people suspected of being in the country illegally.

No it does not...........

Looks like I’ll be cancelling my trip to Denver this summer.

I’m not going to support a city that supports the destrcution of my country via unchecked illegal immigration.

Denver should move to Mexico IMO.

Denver schools have hired employees who can’t show they’re here legally?

How do they know they’re not illegals?

If we want to punish them, we should vote FOR the Denver school so they’ll have to put up with obama for a day.

OK this is getting out of control, kids do what they are told, and they go to school for an education.

the left like the NAZIS and he commies used kids to brainwash and promote their agenda and this has to stop what the teachers union are doing.

Most of these kids have no idea what they’re protesting about and the parents need to get a grip because if they ever tried that crap I’d be at that school in a heart beat

DPS Superintendent Tom Boasberg and board of education members are expected to announce the travel band Thursday afternoon.

GREAT! I wonder if it will be a Mariachi "band"?

Seriously, is there any such thing as an editor these days?

How does the DPS feel about their employees being carded when they go into a bar?

DPS spokesman Kristy Armstrong says school employees are in the country legally but officials don't want them to be "subjected to that kind of scrutiny and search."

To go under that kind of scrutiny and search, the authorities must have reasonable cause, implying they may have committed a crime. Would you want your kids subjected to people that may have committed a crime on a regular basis?

Maybe we can make a list of all the cities or states that boycott AZ and give them back some of their own medicine.

Man, is the media ever hysterical over this issue.

Its more proof for the absolutely key role the Marxists see for illegal immigrants in deconstructing the old USA and creating their new 'worker's paradise'.

Anyone who supports and facilitates their presence here needs to be slapped down and hard.

If they succeed there is no hope for this country.

Denver is a “sanctuary city” run by boobs almost as incompetent as those in San Freako Cesspool.

Vote against Denver’s star school.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/commencement

This will influence which school Obama will visit for high school commencement exercises, which will matter to Denver Public Schools.

Why the heck would employees of the Denver School Board be traveling to Arizona anyway? I thought the schools were broke? The one said business travel should be curtailed, but I guess that only applies to the private sector.

And how often do employees of the Denver schools travel to AZ for work related purposes? And why?

My guess is taxpayer funded “education seminars” where they can booze and golf on the public dime during cold winters. So be it.

I guess if you tell a lie frequently enough, people believe it.
