NEW YORK, April 29 (UPI) -- Seven in 10 U.S. adults support arresting people who can't prove they're in the United States legally, a poll about Arizona's new immigration law indicated.
The Angus Reid Public Opinion poll of 1,002 American adults asked respondents if they'd want four guidelines in Arizona's immigration law enacted in their own state.
The law, the nation's toughest, seeks to identify, prosecute and deport illegal immigrants and gives police broad powers to stop people on suspicion of being in the United States illegally.
Seventy-one percent of poll respondents said they'd support requiring their own police to determine people's U.S. status if there was "reasonable suspicion" the people were illegal immigrants, the poll found.

I have a feeling Obama has made a huge miscalulation on this, living in his msnbc bubble. It goes to show you that the libs are just the loudest, not the most numerous. Obama says “whoops” a la the police are acting “stupidly”. Come here legally or GET OUT.

What the people of Arizona did was very brave. They are risking the riots and the boycotts, but they are forcing the issue out into the open. For years nobody would talk about it for fear of being called a raciest. But by passing this law Arizona has forced the left to defend and undefendable position. And if the La Razza types riot and throw bottles and rock then it will only make that 71% grow to 80%. The socialist MSM won't report it. But the files will get out on youtube.

Of course, most support the law. Most of the rhetoric and discontent is coming from OUTSIDE Arizona and from Washington DC.
The lamestream media is ratcheting up this matter every chance they get...they do that all the time trying to "manufacture" a crisis so their messiah in the white house has a reason to look "presidential".
For the past two days I've noticed that stories posted here on FR reflect the media's obsession with making this the worse thing since the halocaust for "migrants". It's become a "laundry list" of who, and what groups, are coming out against this bill...but very few stories about all the support it has.
IF we had a PRESIDENT s/he would be trying to quell this unrest, but the "Fool on the Hill" is just trying to inflame it as much as he can.
The best thing to do is to ignore them...let them run around and break a few windows in Phoenix, let the comedy team of Jackson/Sharpton get their face time on TV, and it will eventually calm down if Arizona doesn't cave.
I'm hoping they stick to their guns, and the other states who say they are considering a similar bill actually do it.
It's government of the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE, and by the PEOPLE...whether the kenyan agrees with that or not. If the government is NOT going to protect us, we'll look to the states, when they fail...well, then it's just us...all over again.
But if it comes to that...I'm in.

Maybe that’s why the bowing Kenyan decided to shut up about this issue, according to today’s reports.
