Former President Bill Clinton enthusiastically weighed into the blistering national debate on immigration today with a resounding assertion that America needs more immigrants -- not fewer -- to ensure its long-term fiscal future.
At a symposium on deficit reduction today (see my earlier story), Clinton said that one key to avoiding massive debt is to maintain a good ratio between people paying into the system, and those receiving payouts (through such programs as Social Security.)
That means more jobs and more people working, he said. "Which to me means more immigrants."

That means more people paying taxes. I've got no problem with legal immigrants paying taxes. I've got a big problem with illegal aliens being the beneficiary of those taxes.

The election of this clown and the election of “The Divine One” is evidence that the American people are ‘out of form’ in their political life. (Using term “form” in the sense that an athlete exhibiting good form wins contests.)

How exactly would that work when most of them recieve welfare benefits for their kids and food stamps? That means if they are made legal then they get the bonus of all of the tax credits that cost us money.
What an idiot! After low skill immigrants have filed for ‘Earned’ Income Tax Credits, put a few kids in school, used that ‘free’ Obamacare and several other government programs, they’ll cost the US Treasury several times the most optimistic estimates of their contributions to the US economy.
This fella’s always been tricky with words, but he’s completely correct in what he says, except he sort of left out how it would reduce the DEFICIT of Democrat voters. You gotta look for what’s NOT said, you see.
This is the typical short sighted thinking that got us trillions of $$$ into hock to the Chinese. Any system run like a ponzi scheme as Social Security is can only survive as long as more suckers are paying in than receiving. Just like any failed Amway dealer knows, eventually you run out of suckers and the people in the system start demanding to be paid.
